On Saturday (17th Oct), there will be a happy band of SE1 cidermakers pressing apples at the Surrey Docks City Farm (in SE16, but it's still a very nice place: http://surreydocksfarm.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=63).

We'll be there from about 10am, and hope to finish some time in the mid-afternoon. Anyone who wants to help, or just to come along and say hello, will be very welcome.

If you're interested in taking some juice to make some cider yourself, this can probably be sorted out if you go onto the cider thread in "Socials" and declare an interest (or you could pm me).

The farm is having its harvest festival on the Saturday, so there should also be plenty of non-cider-related things to see and do.

...if you press it, they will come.

Hope you all have a fun day. Please go and look at the chicken pen over in the far corner. Me and a group of colleagues from work painted the planters and decoratged them we also dug over the allotment there. Not been back to see, so would be good if you could report back and some photos? ;o)
