Does anyone know where the old College Street - which ran from Belvedere Road to the river - is there an identifiable place on todays south bank?

I've been interested in College st, as my mother lived there as a girl,if you stand in Belvedere rd now, College st was about where the right hand edge of the large green.the area was bombed out durin the blitz.
If you go on the web site called, LAMBETH LANDMARKS.
you will find many old photo's of College st.

and I think this is the site Trevor mentions

which is fascinating. I won't look at Jubilee Gardens the same again. I love sufferance wharf.

Glad your interested, College st was obviously one of the oldest streets in that area. I have a photo looking down from Belvedere road taken in 1937,and the buildings were the same as the 1898 photo's. by this time, vine st leading up to York rd, was also called College st, and at sometime before the war the whole st was changed to Jennings st.
