Bankside Frost Fair 2009

Am I right in thinking this event is not taking place this year? Is the Cologne Christmas Market at Festival Riverside on in it's place? Confused!

No there's no Frost Fair this year. Southwark cut the Frost Fair funding a couple of years ago and Better Bankside organised a slightly different Bankside Winter Festival last year, but there's nothing this time around.
The Cologne Christmas Market is a completely different thing in a different location run by different people, but it has some of the same ambience with stalls along the riverside.
