There is a lot of pub talk at the moment so here is my contribution. Check out the Pagoda on Tower Bridge Road.
3 pints for < 6 = sense.
It also has a pool table and juke box. Hoorah for anyone willing to tart up boozers in this road. We should support them. What do you all think ?
Also a middle eastern food shop has opened in the same road. Check it out it is tasty and quite reasonable.

I noticed the Pagoda has been redone - we could do with more places to eat drink ands generally socialise! Once TfL sort out the pedestrian crossings at the Bricklayers I will definitely venture over!! That side of Tower Bridge Road definitely is due a bit of a makeover, but needs people to actually be encouraged into enterprise and opening up operations which I know is an issue that has been raised on the forum before...

True there are lots of conv stores but the latest one is good because you can buy middle eastern goodies and bread there. They also do roast chickens for 2.50. Yummy.

6 does seem too many, but if they can afford to operate it is better than a few empty desolate shops, which one does the roast chicken?

The one that used to be the butchers. It is next to the market stalls that appear on Saturday.
