A young cyclist was killed on the junction of Western Street/Snowfields on Tuesday morning (9 March). He was dead before paramedics arrived at 10.00am. He was killed by a tipper truck. The Truck was coming from the construction site close to London Bridge. Only last month a cyclist was killed a few mins walk away from the latest incident at the Junc of Tower Bridge Road / Druid street. A tipper truck was also involved. I live close by these roads and was unfortunate to be walking past and saw the aftermath of these horrific and tragic accidents. It is only late last year that I witnessed a cyclist being killed at Newington Causeway by a truck trailer just coming off the roundabout at Elephant & Castle. According to Southwark News it is the fifth cyclist killed in two years on Southwark's roads. Please take care on the roads.

The Mayor has only just announced on Tuesday new imitative for cycle Safety in London. Clearly something must be done to make it safe for cyclists in London.
