actually, karenf might be right.

I went there after recomendation from here and although they were very nice and polite, I was told that I needed to get my break disks changed due to warping. When I went for a second opinion at the further away place that I have been going to for 7 years, I went to get my wheel lock when I realised that there was half a broken wheel nut inside it.

I only went to rwautos for an m.o.t.
and for the m.o.t. you do not need to take the wheels off. rhautos took my wheels off and broke a wheel nut and my wheel lock. Obviously an accident, which happens, but they did not have the decency to tell me it had broken.
I had to pay for someone to drill all my wheel locks off and I had to buy a new set.

I will never ever go back there due to this, but I would have if they had been truthful.

So don't discount Karen so easily.

I'll add my voice to the endorsements. I've used them for the past three years for servicing, MOTs and once for a nasty power-steering problem where they had to import parts from the USA for me and I've always been happy with the service.

Would recommend them.

Although I can not remember the details (cars bore me to bits) but Mr Jac had a similar experience as Bloggie. He used the garage for many years (and recommended them to others) until they made a mistake which they didnt admit to. He too has since gone else where.

I would recommend the garage that I have gone back to using (been their customer for 8 years now) but they are out of the SE1 area, which was the only reason for looking at somewhere more local. Happy to give their details in an IM.
