Ha - will do Spacey - would be nice to meet up for a pint in there though. Leaving very quietly of course.

Could become my London local, when I'm there. Went to a decent bar in Hoboken, NJ, a couple of nights ago. Good whiskey (Hibiki), ambience, but also tv's and tinny music, so I trust tv is banned in The Draft House (ok big football games excepted) and slow jazz and slow blues the only music. Silence works too. Sexy, intelligent bar staff will be tolerated.

Food at other group pubs looks very expensive though. £17 for steak and chips! Probably puts it out of the "quick bite on a Wednesday" category for me. £10.50 for a cheeseburger. Boo.

The burger comes with chips though!

Quote from the Draft House website
<Last week we exchanged on a new site - our third! - on the south side of Tower Bridge looking onto the mayor's office from the front and onto Shad Thames at the back. This is our first tentative step outside of SW11, the Draft House heartland, so we shall see if the Easterners like our blend of honest food and beers which aspire to greatness.

Does the person who drafted this know anything about London & the people who reside there?

On a more positive note their new chef was the main man in the Garrison kitchen for a number of years.
