Does anyone know the nearest place to get fresh guava?

There was a stall in Borough Market on Fri/Sat called Cool Chile that sold Mexican produce, they might have them, or know who has.
Failing that I guess maybe Harrods or Selfridge's Food Halls.

A stall in East Street (SE17) market had Guavas last week. He sells Afro-Caribbean produce, all good quality!
Half way down East st market on the left hand side. Near Golden Cafe. 81 East st.
Unlike some of the other shops, you will be guaranteed high quality produce, and will advise you how to cook the veg. And the stall has been there for many years.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Um_Bongo - but apparently you have to make sure you don't get the new flavour, as it is guava-free ;0)
...if you press it, they will come.
