is an odd place, IMHO. It used to be called Babushka. It seems to market itself as a "cocktaily" type bar full of hip young things, and it is certainly very loud in there. The latest refurb (about a year or so ago) left it looking (again IMO) like a cross between a church hall, a coffee shop and the set of a bedroom farce. The food is not great but then food isn't what it seems to be about. It does, however, have a truly lovely hidden garden out the back where a seemingly popular BBQ operates. I don't know if that's every night during the summer. And I hear that the landlord is a very nice chap who's been there for over a decade. Strangely, it rarely gets a mention on this forum.
It only opens at weekends for private parties, I think. I often see enormous, scary bouncers standing about menacingly outside.
