Not that quiet! I disturbed a thief stealing a bike from a garden on Belvedere Buildings a few months ago and ended up in a prolonged confrontation over it. Also threatened with a knife by a couple of kids just around the corner more recently.

Ok, these things can happen anywhere / any time and I was unlucky, generally it is lovely and quiet but it pays to remain wary, particularly when it's dark.

The planning application for demolition of The Bell and redevelopment of the site will be considered tonight by Southwark's planning committee - 7pm at 160 Tooley Street.

i think the buidling at 38 decima st is occupied by squatters too.
to be fair it has been empty for over a year,
