I'd like to rehome a rescue cat, but I live in a first floor flat without access to a garden. I understand that cats with FIV (feline version of HIV) aren't allowed to go outside and therefore this kind of cat would be perfect for me. I really want to give a cat a loving home and wondered if anyone knows of somewhere local that may be able to help me? Or does anyone know of a cat who needs a new home?

I am aware that Battersea has cats for rehoming but I thought I'd look locally first.

Thanks so much.

If you put your postcode in the pet search section of the RSPCA site you'll get a list of cats with a description. Sometimes it states they can't go outside. Chances are Battersea will be nearer though.

Andrew Kirby vet on Grange Road has contact with lots of people who do rehoming for cats so you could contact them.
