Yet more people squatting/up to all sorts in there. I live near & despite police evicting groups every now and then, it's still dodgy. Got no problem with community squatting if buildings are left emoty/derelict, but the valentines is just a drugs den being ingored....

So why not tearing that "thing" down?... Is it a listed building?...

I see Kalmars are hoping to stick some (large) apartments and commercial unit on the site

Here's hoping they succeed...

have they already got planning permission for the development?

It can but improve that awful corner, which has been run-down since before I moved to the area, 7 years ago.

It doesn't seem so, according to the Southwark planning website.

Although I find that site a bit unreliable from past experiences....

It'll be a boring soulless crappy new build to match the one across the road. Sadly, that's what it takes to get rid of what is currently much much worse. Limp cheer.

I Struggle to understand what is going on there.." Sold" signs.. Then "for sale" ... Years pass and still horribly there..

I agree that another cube is not what we need but what worse than that present thing?

Indeed it will, Beetroot - like much of today's new-build. I will add a limp clap to your cheer :p
