Commotion Last Night

Hi All

Does anyone know of any incidents last night in the area past Union Street towards the BP station? It seemed as though someone was having a jolly old time with fireworks for a few hours. That seemed to peter out to be followed by sirens of all sorts on and off for a few hours until about 11.30 last night.

there were fireworks on the river last night to "celebrate" London getting through the first round of olmpic bids-was that what you heard ?

Yes, that would most likely explain the fireworks, thanks :c). Not sure what all the sirens throughout the evening were about though, was a lot more than we usually hear and it went on for a few hours intermitently.
