Boris is a very clever chap, but he hides his erudition under his bumbling exterior...call it a pose. But I'd certainly choose him over Ken. Ken lost my vote when he backed away from being an independent and crawled back to the Labour party. Opportunism and a sign that he didnt really have the courage of his convictions. And I'm afraid to say he's somehow lost his charisma somewhere on the road. Happens.

It amazes me that anyone living on the roundabout would vote for the man who wants it to stay, over the man who wants it to go - but each to their own.

I find it helps to think of it as voting for Val Shawcross for Deputy Mayor :)

Anyone but Boris,it's true he is no buffoon and I am deeply suspicous that he should act one,I don't particularly like Ken but I do believe he is passionate about London.
Having watched yet another debate last night I am pretty uninspired by any of them tbh,so i've made my mind up,I will vote for Siobhan on the grounds that my wife used to work with her.

Jamesup...whatever the (de)merits of either candidate on this issue the Mayoral race is anything but a single issue matter....that is exactly why it is just so disspaointing that all the candidtaes lack long-term strategic (possibly grandiose) vision for the whole city...this is such a wasted opportunity for one of the top 3 cities on the planet to have some sort of plan to stay there and to shine and grow succesffully into the next 50 years not just the politically expedient 5.

i've not been able to listen to boris & ken shouting each other down for longer than seconds, the whole 'labour or conservative' thing is simply tedious.

the policies matter and, as far as i'm concerned, the green party's policies are the closest to what needs to happen in london now. londoners need to be able to afford to live in london. londonders have a right to not die of air pollution or in traffic accidents. the gaps between the rich & majority of us cannot be allowed to continue growing, etc

The Green Party woman has no chance but she has directed her voters to give their second preference to Ken Livingstone so a vote for her is in effect a vote for Ken. Who is Siobhan?

What ever any one thinks of Ken Livingston London simply cant have a Mayor back that has already been voted out after two terms in office.

I'm confused: are you saying one shouldn't vote for her because you don't know who she is?
She's been active for many years. Is it her fault, or yours, that you claim to have no knowledge of who she is?

...if you press it, they will come.

Has anyone got anything to say about their respective policies? Or their records in, for example, long-term strategic planning, or addressing real problems, such as the accommodation crisis, the living wage, or crime?

Here here! Well said!

I wish there was someone else entirely it's all quite depressing. Boris in the past year he has held 86 meetings with bankers, 48 with the police and Only 15 with ordinary londoners! 50% of Tory funding comes from finance sector. He has nt delivered on any of his policies he was elected for
