Fly past?

Hi, I saw a large plane being flanked by two small jets at about 17:45. They flew over the elephant in the direction of Blackfriars. Did anyone else see and know what it was about?

It was a VC10 and two Tornadoes. Don't know what this particular occasion was though.

Just found out it was for the British troops in Libya.
Apparently it was flying towards parliament not blackfriars, I only know my walking directions :D

Anyone on here old enough, (and brave enough to admit it), that they remember when for a few years after the end of WW11, if a plane was heard overhead, some wag would say, "Hope it's one of ours!"
