Street Shrine - Waterloo Road/Westminster Bridge Road

Walking home this evening, I noticed a load of flowers and photos tied to the railings on the traffic island where Waterloo Road joins Westminster Bridge Road yards from St George's Circus. It appeared to be for a young woman who died a couple of weeks ago.
Did I miss something in the news? Does anyone know what happened?

I also noticed it cycling past last night. It sent shivers down my spine. Could be a student staying at the Hall of Residence across the road?
Lots of pedestrians seem to take a risk and cross the road at that junction and around St George's Circus roundabout. Very sad.

I, too, noticed this on Monday. Last week or the week before my daughter said she went to get a bus at the St George's Circus stop on the Waterloo Road just past the H10 and it looked like a 172 bus had just squashed someone on or near the Circus. Waterloo Road was closed. I imagine that's what it was, sadly.

A 19yr old girl was knocked over and killed by a bus, at a bus stop. A neighbour of mine said she saw it happen and that the driver was arrested.
