yes they told us that they received it, put it on a van for delivery on the 28th but it was never delivered and now it's lost and they told us we need to liaise with the sender as they offer no compensation.

The sorting office is a total mess. I once sent a parcel with some birthday present for my niece to Switzerland. When they opened it they found a penny coin and a wine cork in it rather than the books I sent...
I didn't pursue compensation because of the difficult process and the low value.
