Kitchen tap/plumber

I know there are many plumber recommendations on here, but how much would one expect to pay to have a simple kitchen mixer tap replaced by a local plumber? I am sick and tired of being ripped off by tradespeople charging a fortune for a simple job. I know people need to earn a living, but there is a line. Any recommendations/advice/what you expect to pay is appreciated. Thanks.
