So disappointing that with all the resources that Tate Modern
has, they can't protect visitors' bicycles from bolt croppers.
What no cameras?
graham, why should the TM take responsibility for visitors bikes? Just asking.
nigel doesn't mention where the bikes were left, but I'm assuming bolt cutters were used on the owners bike locks, not the railings to which they were they were attached. He also doesn't say they were left on TM owned land. In my own experience cctv rarely puts determined thieves off, and is less than useless as evidence unless the thieves can be identified (not always possible from the pictures) and are actually caught.
