I thought Southwark College has been very poor for years, so it might not be a bad thing? I would certainly not advise students to go there. Ofsted may not be perfect, but consistently being judged 4 (inadequate) might just mean it was beyond repair.

I think the merger is a good idea (for all the reason you give), just not happy I'll have to live opposite Lewisham college!

It's a bit of a shame. I did a few courses at Southwark and most were very good, particularly the ones in programming and languages. I only stopped going there because they stopped offering the courses I wanted to do.

What's the problem? Your area being confused with Lewisham?

Personally, I've always thought it was a dark day when the Leicester College of Professional Studies set up in Borough ;)
