Does anyone know any comic shops in SE1? I kow Foyles have a small graphic novels section and there are plenty shops in SoHo, but I am looking for something local that's not Forbidden Planet.

For example. I did a Google search but I am kind of hopeful of some obscure shop somewhere where only afficionados go to spend all their pocket money.

No: there is only one Forbidden Planet store in London, and it is located at 179 Shaftesbury Avenue.

The SE1 Titan House address relates to the company headquarters and is not a retail outlet.

Try Adanami Shobo on Brewer Street. It should totally fit your comic book needs. Its not in SE1 but sometimes you have to go the distance for your Keito Aoyama fix.

Manga & Anime are really the only worthwhile artforms in the comic/'graphic novel' format.

I must say I love the name... very optimistic of you! :-) and you are probably right, I haven't seen any comic shops around here really and so you would have to go over the river!. And in answer to the older response about Forbidden Planet, I think it is the head office here and so no actual shop!
