A bit hoity-toity there! There will always be people seeing it (or visiting the area) for the first time.

Probably to do with St Mungos hostel right opposite. Used to be a lot of drinking outside and around the area

Sorry Andrew, first time i've been called that!

I was wondering if Duthy hall might have been a music hall type thing with rowdy audiences and a compere using really long words

Edit:Hang on,there was a hall,parties weddings etc.

I could be wrong here but I think the sign belongs to the Welsh church.

Surely that sign is a lot older than any of St. Mungo's hostels?

I am sure there was a topic on the sign a while ago, couldn't find it apart form this Commit no Nuisance - Radio 6
