I've a much loved chaise longue / sofa which is quite desperate need of reupholstery. It seems to have the original in place at the moment... and some big holes courtesy of some sharpclawed felines! Please can anyone suggest a reupholsterer they've used? Doesn't have to be local if they're prepared to pick up/deliver. Ideally I'd like the upholstery replacing and would look at a set of loose covers to mitigate against future damage!

Try E&A Wates in Streatham. Not the cheapest but good.

When I lived in SE1 I used Starbucks in Brockley (as I'd also used them previously when local to there). They do a great job and you will have lots of choice. Theu collect. They are at
327 Brockley Road, Lewisham
London, SE4 2QZ
and you'll find them via google.

There is/used to be an upholstery place on Borough High St (south of Borough Tube - opposite Ruse Bar, just by the old Mayfair Carpets place on the corner of Trinity St)

...if you press it, they will come.

Hi

I have used the team at 7 Upholstery. http://7upholstery.co.uk/

They are in Shoreditch. No cheap but then none of the quotes I got were. They are brilliant and have done 4 pieces for me on old vintage pieces I had found. They do most of the work for Soho House group so their waitlist can take a while but worth it.

Unfortunately now closed, though they did a good job on some dining-room chairs for me.

We used Madeleine Anderson, whose website is http://www.madamchairwoman.com/ - she was based off Grange Road and did an excellent job on about some dining chairs and armchairs.

However, I see from her website she is taking a break until the spring.
