Anyone know what's happening on this tatty site? It's been looking messy for ages now...I thought the site was recently sold but now information on plans etc.
I've seen some mention of something at 18 Blackfriars Road, is that the same site?
Would appreciate any info anyone might have...

Also does anyone know whether Waitrose is opening at South Bank Tower or is it a vicious rumour...?

Thanks¬!

Waitrose won't say whether they are moving into the tower, but they seem keen on the Southbank.

I'm surprised that the entire ground floor of the student accommodation building on Hatfields is still an empty shell, this space is big enough for a supermarket but probably lacks storage space.

Can we move the Waitrose/South Bank Tower discussion to the previous thread on the same topic, please, so this thread can just be about 20 Blackfriars Road?

Does anyone know whether the Mad Hatter will remain or whether it is going to be demolished with the surrounding buildings?

No, the Mad Hatter is staying - and is being extended into the building on the corner of Stamford Street and Blackfriars Road.

They are the only two buildings in the whole block that are not being demolished.
