My GP surgery looks like to be taking on patients from another surgery that has recently closed down, our surgery is already over run with to many patients since getting a routine appointment is a months wait now and there is 4 doctors and a daily emergency is hit and miss if you can get through dead on 9am or again at 2.30pm. Been told the patients from the other closed down surgery are temporary but am guessing they will end up staying as they are already visiting our gp surgery and seeing a locum. Apparently their surgery closed down as their doctor has retired and closed the business there. I wonder why their doctor didnt just take on someone else before retirement to keep their surgery open for them.
