The Borough Welsh Choir, a mixed voice group famed for its recordings in the 1950s and winning first prize at the Liverpool National Eisteddfod in the 1940s, has been revived at the chapel in Southwark Bridge Rd. with the aim of giving occasional concerts locally, competing at the National Eisteddfod in Wales annually, and at international rugby matches and other interesting gigs. They are currently looking to recruit me singers for Sunday afternoon rehearsals during term time - particularly tenors and basses - you don't have to be able to speak Welsh or even be Welsh! Just come along and sing for free. For more details, contact
