I seem to remember there was an announcement that Sir Nicholas Hytner was going to open a new 800 seat theatre at the new One Tower Bridge development. I have not heard anything since. Does anyone know whether this is still on the cards?

It's listed on their website here

Thank you both- really helpful! And, am really looking forward to this theatre: makes up a little bit for the monstrosity they've built on that site.

May not be thrilling for everyone....but how fortunate are we to be within walking distance of NT, Unicorn, Globe, Southwark Playhouse (have I missed anyone?) and now the new Bridge Theatre, opening in October. Imho, we are spoiled!

The Bridge prices - not cheap, but less than West End, and attracting top rate actors.

Got tickets to Young Marx in a few weeks' time, and very much looking forward to it.
