Uppercrust, Ritazza, Pumpkin... anything owned and operated by Compass really. If it canít survive outside the captive audience of a railway station then it doesnít deserve to be in business at a railway station. The only way they manage it is that there is a semi-closed shop that overprices for everything in railway stations.

Sadly, I'm one of those who faced with a choice between branded and unbranded, will invariably chose the latter, for many reasons. But I always find Billy1's optimism on the subject of prospective SE1 retailers entirely cheering.

Exactly. The strategy is aimed at a captive, 'time poor' consumer who is not looking to compare price but just...consume, and rush off to the office or home.

Just heard from TFL that Tooley Street is scheduled to reopen to two way traffic all the way along it on 29 April 2018.
