It must be said. I have dinner three times in The Hartley the last couple of weeks and the service was really great. Very nice girls, attentive and caring. The speed of service has also improved enormously. The Barman is still somewhat aloof, and does not go into the trouble of recognising regular customers. Otherwise great.

Hmmmm.... who've you been taking out to dinner, Maurits?

I can't believe you've been neglecting your fiancee so much.

Dinner was fabulous, though we were not alone; we had Birdie as a chaperone to ensure we managed to remain chaste before the wedding!
