I've in Bermondsey all my life and have wondered why there is a Pink Tank at the end of Pages Walk and Mandela Way.

Does anyone know why it's there??

The tank is pink because of the artist Aleksandra Mir but it was there in its primordial greenish state before that and I've never been able to get a convincing explanation of why.

It would benefit greatly from some weed killer on the nettles.

So where DID it come from?

Perhaps someone left it there by mistake? It must be driving them mad trying to remember where they parked it.

I was going to suggest that it used to be green, because it was camouflaged, the same as all the other tanks were, but the moments passed now, so I won't bother.

and I think you've missed out an f there TLMJJ
