ENO Bayliss is in the middle of a production of "South of the River" a locally written operetta that is the culmination of 4 years of work in the community by the ENO with schools and n workshops.

Today is the last day of productions. Our mayor Mr Ken was invited and, even though the venue, a big top tent, is spitting distance from his office, he has not deigned to indicate if he will attend. Given that it is a sell out for todays two performances i am not sure he will be.

A bit dissapointed that thiose in the irovy (glass ) tower cannot support grass roots work that is being done right under their noses!

To be fair to Ken he hasn't moved in to City Hall yet - he's still at Romney House in Westminster.

Saw 'South of the River' last night and enjoyed it - good fun

I went on Friday evening, and apart from some rain leaking through the tent on me, I thought it was good.
