I recently used O800 Handyman to install a shower in my flat. They did a good job and it took just over half an hour. They have a website www.0800handyman.co.uk

Thanks for that Mac. I rang them, but they informed me that they only fit showers to taps!!! I want an electric shower. Thanks again.

That's very strange as they fitted an electric shower in my flat. They were replacing an existing one so maybe they'll do that but not fit one from scratch?...

fitting a shower from scratch takes a while longer, because you have to put in all the plumbing, and electrics, with RCD and seperate power switch, etc and at least some tiling before hand. When we had ours done it took a whole bank holiday weekend. I wouldn't recomend trying to do it yourself unless you really do know what you're doing.

Try Paul Dove, who lives in SE17 (Walworth). Very reliable and doesn't rip you off.

I would like to recommend another plumber:

Yen Lin Chong
Lives in Herne Hill
CORGI No.: 196094
T: 020 8674 8617
M: 07798 530265

I tried to find one today (Bank Holiday) because my combi boiler died last night and called Oliver, Paul Dove, etc but all off for the holidays and eventually found Yen Lin on movethat.com http://www.movethat.com/London/Forum/Local_Traders/#82674 where it said he was working over the holidays.

He has a call-out charge of 30, unless he can fix the problem when it is 50. He replaced the pump, had one on him and didn't charge for that at all! There is some other switch/part that needs replacing but he has got it going temporarily and will come back with that part on Wednesday.

Nice guy, too.
