How much!? You can get a bottle for less than that in Tesco (incidentally, their Chilean Merlot with the purple label is very good, at 3.10 a bottle)

Is there a maximum charge as well? (Maybe you were lucky getting away with only paying 4.)

...if you press it, they will come.

If it's a 250ml glass full then 4 quid is about the going rate for a reasonable house wine, if it's only 175ml glass then it's a rip off

3.10 is good value for a bottle of wine, but Tesco charge you extra for the brown paper bag and you may have to wait for a park bench to become vacant

or join fellow new world wine drinkers outside the post office at London Bridge

point is, you no longer get the choice of a smaller glass. and i hear they are considering closing during day due to lack of custom... someone is not being clever...

Yes. Turn it into a pub for "new world wine drinkers".

I'm pleased to hear that that great SE1 drinking establishment is still going strong in my absence - the London Bridge Post Office terrace - as cheap as a Wetherspoons but with more atmosphere!
