Re: London Bridge skyscraper

I've just moved to SE1 - just off Great Dover Street and wondered if anyone could tell me where the best pubs or pub/bar is? There seem to be so many, but they are seem to be full of tourists (riverside) or city workers (Borough High Street). Not a problem, but where do all the locals go in the evenings? Jane

The KA (King's Arms) on the Jamacia Road end of Tooley Street is one of the better places around - cool music, friendly staff and mostly locals and very few suits.

OR try the Prince Charles (i think) on Ayres Street between Union Street and Marshalsea Road - actually the Union St area is probably the best bet.

Thanks for the tip! A great place indeed!

Hi Fran The building (I think it currently known as Southwark Towers) will replace the PricewaterhouseCoopers building located behind London Bridge Station (not the one on the actal bridge, its entrance by the bus station.
