Just as the display ended last night we saw quite a frightening blaze take hold in a tower about 1m south of Bricklayers. It looked very nasty - the main fire was coming from a window about three floors from the top, but the smoke pouring from the top of the building was huge, suggesting it was running up through the core.

Anyone know what happened? Hope everyone got out.

I know it was probably flagged on this lovely site, but what was the display for/about last night?

I think Harry was referring to yet more fireworks coming from the direction of Gabriels Wharf / oXo Tower at just before 10pm last night. They looked and sounded pretty spectacular from my window even. Put my indoor sparklers to shame!

Any news on the tower fire anyone? hope all is OK.

Ah I see. The Port of London Authority river diary lists a private display at 2145 last night in King's Reach.
