All the public loos are getting closed down - this is an inconvenience.

I walk to work from New Cross Gate to London Bridge and find that the closing of the loos on Tower Bridge Road has made the walk a challenge. Being od a certain age, where prostate and bladder no longer cooperate fully - I am going to have to give up the walk I think.

Is this a new policy to reduce pedestrians?

Were they open until recently? I can't think of seeing any public loos open in London for years. I agree, not a good thing.

The public toilets concerned were recently closed down on the grounds of anti-social behaviour otherwise known as cottaging. It is indeed an inconvenience, or rather, a no convenience.

That's quite a walk, NCG. Good on you! No idea which way you walk, but there's loads of supermarkets and large stores with loos en route. I do agree with your point about public loos though. Every alley and doorway off Borough High St stinks of pee on a warm day.

i agree that borough hi st has a certain je ne sais quoi in the summer months.

That's French for pee. You are so right U Ms. Jo

Is cottaging anti-social? Discuss

There used to be a public loo downstairs in Hays Galleria, the end near Tooley St rather than the river end. Worth having a look.

Those loos at Hay's Galleria have been closed for a while now.
