To all residents of St Saviour's parish, as it existed in 1930
Now Cathedrals, Chaucer, Grange, Riverside Wards it seems.

Todays post included a letter from Southwark Council looking for trustees for Borough Market.
I seem to remember getting this every year, and as trustees are appointed for four-yearly terms,
I can only assume the vacancies don't attract a lot of interest. Voluntary and unpaid - although I
imagine some expenses must be paid.
They are keen to find 'the best people for the job', so that rules me out.

I wonder just how much input trustees have, and are their views ever taken into account.

I was a trustee and found it very difficult to get anything across - as the existing officers seemed to have everything sewn up - I spent my time being asked to agree stuff and not having any of my points taken forward. So I stopped going. *** BUT ***, I understand that now things have improved greatly (any current trustees care to comment?) and so I would recommend people putting themselves or others forward. May even offer myself again...
