Are there any good bookshops in the area that stock a wide range of books on various topics, and not just novels?

There is an excellent bookshop - second hand admittedly - in the Elephant and Castle shopping mall called Tlon (after the short story by Borges). They have a real wealth of books, and all at good prices.

Calder bookshop is an excellent bookshop with an eclectic mix of books; fact and fiction.

My favourites are Books etc in the Royal Festival Hall, The Riverside bookshop in Hays Galleria and Tlon. The remainder bookshop on Waterloo Bridge Rd is also quite good.

And obviously the second hand stalls on the South Bank under Waterloo Bridge.
