Does anyone know, apart from Borough Market where I can go and buy a Water Melon, whole.not pre packed or cut within walking distance
from Bermondsey Street.Leaving aside Tesco or ASDA on OKR.Any hidden fruit and veg shops? With hope I tried Sainsbury Local but no joy there.
I also hoped the little stall at London Bridge, outside might, but no again.
I am a big fan of Melons you see.(trying not to drift into Carry On style humour here but beginning to fail)

Thanks

Yes, Woods (or whatever they're called now) often sell whole delicious watermelons.

Thanks Ivanhoe and Samuel,
Thinking about it.Is Woods the market outside the shops on TBR just on the Bermondsey Street entrance?

Sort of ... not the dodgy-ish market which sells old packets of sweets right on the Bermondsey Street entrance, but a bit further down, if you're walking towards Elephant. They sell fantastic fruit, you can't miss it.

I love Woods; they sell great fruit and veg and are all lovely! I heard the council is giving him a hard time because he doesn't have the proper license. Shame, because it is a great addition to TBR.
