I was at the beer festival in Olympia last night (fantastic if you can make it over there; although beware the wheat beers =:~/)

There was very little representation in the way of London beers, and it got me thinking about the breweries that used to be in the SE1 area that have closed.

There seems to be a great national revival of microbreweries at the moment, and I was wondering if anyone knew of anything like that in our locality (or even further afield - I think the closest i'm aware of is in Greenwich)

Have you not heard of SE1 cider? It's famous across the country, and is a veteran of national competition.

[See threads in "Chatter", or is it "Socials"]

...if you press it, they will come.

One of the very first pub microbreweries was in the Goose and Firkin, Borough Rd.
