Am I slow in noticing that Connex single tickets to and from London Bridge that were a £1 are now £1.40 - a staggering rise of 40%! Does any other service get away with rises of that scale? Can anyone explain (justify??) this extraordinary price rise? Has anyone noticed the corresponding 40% improvement in service?
Reminds me why I cycle to work, despite risk to life and limb, whenever I can. Besides risk to life it's healthier, I don't catch colds and worse from people crushed in a few centimetres from my face and I get to work in a fraction of the time (and cost).
And while I'm in rant mode why aren't more employers providing showers to encourage healthy travel alternatives (Guy's Hospital
this includes you!)?
