Hello,

We just rented a flat in Shad Thames and don't know the area very well, although it seems fun. Where do residents buy groceries and go to the movies? (You can see our priorities!)

Thanks,

Cara

Your closest cinema will be UCI Surrey Quays. There's also a big Tesco and a small shopping centre next to that. See http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?G2M?X=535759&Y=179166&A=Y&Z=1 for a map

There is an M&S just opposite London Bridge Station.

Thank you both!

The Circle Store on Queen Elizabeth St is fairly good - cheaper and closer than M&S as well!

The cinema in Surrey Quays is okay, although quite often seems to be full of people who've mistaken it for a pub or something, so they just talk and/or make phone calls whilst the film's showing.

I'm sure it still can't compare with the general behaviour of the Peckham Multiplex's patrons! :-)
