Saw it from another part of town, the light took on a wierd yellowish tinge and there it was. Fab - thank you, zapp. [and james]

It was indeed the most amazing rainbow I ever saw: in fact, there were two rainbows, right next to each other. The light that fell over the city was magic and dramatic and lit up Crystal Palace while the rain was pouring down. A very special evening.

Sadly by the time I got my camera out, one of the two side by side rainbows had gone! It really was quite a sight. My flat was flooded with the yellow tinge janefs mentioned, just after I got home from work. Later on, all the glass buildings over in the City had an odd green light reflecting off of them.

i didn't see the rainbow but after the rain stopped last night the light was SO weird - it was like it was light and dark at the same time - everything was really orange.

I thought it was those wild mushrooms I'd eaten earlier in the day.

I missed the rainbow (thanks for the pictures) but did see the amazing light reaching out horizontally across the sky beneath a black rain cloud and above wet black slate roofs. Stunning.
