I worked in the Waterloo area from the mid 90s until recently and saw quite a transformation just in that short time. I'm fascinated by the changing face of the streetscape particularly since the 60s and how the character of the area has changed over time. I've had a look at the excellent Lambeth Landmark site which has a few views of Lower Marsh, the Spanish Patriot and the Wellington pub from 1970.

Do any other forum members know where I could find more photos on line from the SE1 area that period? (or indeed have any relevant photos in their own collections that they would be prepared to share with the world!)

There's quite a lot of previous threads on this. The search facility on this site is excellent (just remember to change the date range to "all dates") but here are a few to get you going:

The John Harvard Library on Borough High Street is one of the best resources I've come across, but does require an in-person visit.

Edited to say that I realise some of these links may pre-date the period you are particularly interested in, but hope they help in any event.

Thanks very much. I did a search of the site first but didn't notice the 'last 30 days' was default. Doh!
