On Walworth Road
, just south of Baldwins and the Town Hall, is a small tailor's shop which is v good for alternations (I was recently charged £10 for a good & quick job). It's called Threadneedleman Bespoke Tailors, 187a Walworth Road
, SE17 (020 7701 9181).
It's about 10 mins on bus 171, 176 or 68 from Waterloo, get off at the Larcom St stop (town hall) and carry on - it's on the left as you go south, the other half of the shop is a newsagent.
He also does bespoke suits, apparently £500+.
No connection etc etc
