Mr Sarahmc and I have decided to up sticks and move to the country- only prob is neither of us drive and where we are house hunting this will be a problem.
Mr sarahmc will be commuting to London a few days a week so he'll need dropping at the station etc.
Now, I've had 30 lessons 12 years ago but never took my test (university interview clashed). However as I recall, I wasn't brilliant.
But this is very important so I need a good driving instructor locally.
Any recommendations?

Further to those threads, I am LMJJ's sister who changed to Sandra and yes, she is fantastic. I was like you, re-starting after a long break and she immediately put me at ease. I just wish I'd met her when I started my lessons 8 years ago!

Her contact number is 07946 593 719

Hi there,
Having recently decided to take the plunge and finally learn to drive, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a reliable driving instructor? Also, what sort of rates can I expect to pay?

Sorry no, I didn't. We lost out on the house we wanted to buy so didn't move in the end.
Although I am moving to Cambridge next weekend to go to uni, and Mr Sarahmc is staying in SE1.

I'm learning at the moment with a great guy called Daniel who is from BSM on the walworth road. He's incredibly patient and calm which helps when you stall in the middle of Lewisham roundabout in rush hour!
