I want to give another plug to the little Ecuadorian lunch place in the Shopping centre. I go pretty much every Sunday these days. It's only open at weekends, on the upper floor at the New Kent Road
exit, across from Metro Central Heights. During the week it's a grocery kiosk, but they put the tables out at the weekend.
It is Ecuadorian home cooking, not cheffy. There is always a lovely seafood soup, and often a delicious peanutty tripe stew (OK, that one's not for everyone, I concede). They do a beautiful ceviche prawn dish too, which you eat cold.
Staff are charming and friendly, and keen to explain Ecuadorian cuisine.
Say hello if you see me feeding my face one Sunday. I am the only English person there, you can't miss me.
