I was on the same bus with Chris O'Dowd on 10 May. He was coming back from the premiere of The Dictator - I wasn't.

I've seen him too, on the no. 1 bus with his girlfriend (wife?).

Wasn't there a rumour that Robert de Niro had a flat in the Jam Factory?

Back in the early 70s my great Nan was thrilled to meet Kenneth Williams at the Lambeth Palace Garden Fete, and got his autograph and called him Kenny. Years later I was amused to read his published diaries and see he had written about that day and how annoyed he was by all the old ladies pestering him!

I'm fairly sure that Guy Garvey from Elbow has, or had, a flat in the Jam Factory as well.

Great tale Auntie Pat. And to be fair to your nan, you sort of expect old ladies to go a garden fete, 'Kenny' Williams really should known that when he went.

God we have a dire lack of decent celebs in our hood don't we? Why? When I lived in camden alan bennett was always around, johnny depp was arrested outside our house and woody harrelson took my friend's boyfriend out drinking as they happened to start chatting in the street.

Hmm. You could always move back.

I was replying in tone with the spirit of your post. If the lure of Camden and its "decent celebs" is so great, and SE1 is so direly lacking in the quality of celebrities needed to validate one's life, it would seem obvious to move back there, wouldn't it?

...if you press it, they will come.

Irvine Sellar outside the Shard.. is he a celebrity..

When I was living in Edgware road I was in front of Sienna Miller and with my surprise I was invited in to get a coffee with two friends of mine.. to then realise it was a strategy to get the boyfriend (Jude Law) jealous.. as he came in soon with a big stiff upper lip..

Here I just met Sellar.. mmmhh.. :)

In this day and agwe, if you've appeared on TV, you're a celebrity. Most over used word in the English language.
