I have a stack of egg boxes, 20 or so. There are too many to add to my wormery composter, and you can't put them in with the paper recycling. Does anyone want them?

Hi Andrew,

My initial thought was to see whether any schools or creches could use them as I've known them to be used for paint palettes. Also, here is a link that might help.

Dear Andrew,
Music students in Oz often use egg cartons to line their practice rooms. They make great sound insulation.

I have a 2-egg omelette for breakfast a couple of times a week, and no bad effecrts.

Anyway, the boxes are not bad for you.

Before you know it, your worm compost will be too wet and you will be asking us for 20 egg boxes to put into it.

Dear Andrew,
Also in Oz, the kindergartens use them for making Christmas decoration lanterns. We cut the lid off, curve the base around sideways to make a cylinder (with the points inwards) and paint them - black on the high points and bright yellow in the hollows. The children love them.
Cheers
Margaret in Oz.
