Hi

Our management company has just sent us a letter in the post stating we have 35 days to come up with a quote for fitting new carpets in our building. If we don't come up with a quote, they will be offering us a 3x higher charge for using their dodgey contractors, as they have done previously with a bad paint job.

Has anyone used someone in the past or can recommend anyone? The building covers 5 floors and has 60 flats so this would be a decent size job for someone.

Thanks
Yas

Oh... and apparently any contractor they will select needs to be registered on the National Britannia's Safe Contractor Scheme or similar.

Yas, who did you use in the end? Am looking for a decent carper fitter for the stairs in our flat.

We have used Posners, who are very good. They have a wide selection of carpets (and wood flooring), and their fitters (in my experience) are well-skilled and careful i.e. they don't mess up the skirting-boards, and take their time to do the job properly. These are their contact details:

Posners - The Floor Store

Tel: 020 7625 8899 Fax: 020 7625 8866

Hope this helps
